Chris M. Shepherd is a graduate of Chicago's Loyola University. He began his professional career in the office of U.S. Senator Peter Fitzgerald. Upon graduating, Mr. Shepherd enrolled in Chicago Kent Law School, where he got the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the finest criminal defense attorneys in Chicago. While attending Kent, Mr. Shepherd received an academic scholarship and won a CALI award for excellence in Forensic Science.
In 2005, Mr. Shepherd fulfilled a lifelong ambition of opening a law firm of his own. Now, he represents defendants in criminal courts all over Cook, DuPage, Will, and Kane counties, as well as other counties throughout Illinois and in Federal Courts. Attorney Shepherd has earned acquittals and dismissals for his clients' cases, involving every type of charge from sexual assault to domestic violence and everything in between.

Charge against Roanoke neo-Nazi leader Bill White dismissed
A federal judge said comments posted by the Roanoke neo-Nazi leader were protected by the First Amendment.

Long known for dancing along the line between free speech and illegal threats, Roanoke neo-Nazi leader William A. White has won the first round of his bout with the federal government.
In an opinion issued Tuesday in Chicago, U.S. District Court Judge Lynn Adelman dismissed a charge that White used his Web site to encourage violence, ruling that his actions were protected by the First Amendment.
White had been charged with posting the name, address and telephone number of the foreman of a Chicago jury that convicted a fellow white supremacist in 2004.
